However the water got in, once the leak is fixed and the structure is dry, someone has to repair what it ruined: bubbled drywall, swollen baseboards, cupped or delaminated flooring, stained ceilings. That repair work is what Florida GC Group LLC does – we are a licensed Florida general contractor (Lic. #RG291104194) based in Port St. Lucie.
What we repair after water damage
- Drywall and ceilings: water-stained or sagging sections cut out, replaced, textured and painted. See Drywall Repair After Water Damage.
- Flooring: replacement of ruined laminate, vinyl, hardwood and tile, including subfloor repair where the water sat. See Flooring Replacement After Water Damage.
- Baseboards, trim and doors: swollen MDF baseboards and trim replaced and finished.
- Interior painting: repaint after repairs so the room looks whole again.

What we do not do – honestly
- We do not find or fix leaks (that is a plumber), and we do not extract water or run drying equipment (that is a mitigation company). We do the repair and rebuild after those steps.
- We are not licensed for mold assessment or remediation. If the damage sat long enough for mold, a licensed mold professional handles that first.
- We document and estimate; we do not handle insurance claims. Coverage decisions are your insurer’s. Many sudden-leak losses are covered under homeowners policies – your itemized estimate from us is the document your insurer will want.
