Kitchen Layout & Design
Work zones. The classic work triangle — sink, range, refrigerator — is a useful starting point, but most kitchens work better as zones: prep near the sink, cooking around the range, cleanup at the dishwasher. We map the layout to how you actually cook.
Islands and peninsulas. An island adds prep space, seating, and storage, but it needs comfortable walkway clearance on all sides when more than one person is cooking. We measure your room and tell you honestly whether an island fits, or whether a peninsula or a reconfigured perimeter serves you better.
Opening up the room. Removing the wall between a closed kitchen and the living area is a common request. Some walls carry structural load; others hide plumbing, electrical, or venting that must be rerouted. We evaluate what is inside the wall before anything comes down, and structural changes get proper engineering and permits.
Storage planning. Deep drawers for pots, pull-out base-cabinet shelves, a pantry sized to your groceries, and clearance for appliance doors to swing fully open — all decided during design, since they drive cabinet sizing.

Our Process
1. Consultation. We visit your home, hear what is not working, take measurements, and discuss priorities. Call (561) 255-4908 — Monday through Saturday, 8am to 5pm. 2. Design and selections. We develop the layout and help you choose cabinets, countertops, fixtures, lighting, and finishes from real samples. 3. Written proposal. A detailed scope of work and project schedule before you sign. 4. Permits. We submit applications for the electrical, plumbing, and structural work and schedule the required inspections. 5. Demolition and rough-in. The old kitchen comes out; new electrical and plumbing rough-in goes in, then inspections. 6. Cabinets and countertops. Cabinets are set level and secured; countertops are templated and installed. 7. Finishes. Backsplash, flooring, fixtures, lighting, paint, and hardware complete the room. 8. Final walkthrough. We check every door, drawer, light, and fixture with you and close out any punch-list items.
Planning Tips for a Florida Kitchen
Vent the range to the exterior. Cooking moisture and grease have to go somewhere, and Florida humidity makes recirculating hoods a poor substitute. We plan ducted ventilation that exhausts outside the house.
Choose finishes for humidity. Sealed stone or engineered countertops, quality cabinet finishes, and solid caulking at wet areas hold up better than moisture-absorbing materials in year-round warmth.
Layer the lighting. Overheads light the room, undercabinet lights light the counters where you work, and pendants add warmth. Planning all three during rough-in costs far less than adding them later.
Respect material lead times. Cabinets, stone, and specialty fixtures can take weeks to arrive, and storm season can slow deliveries — so we order early and build realistic lead times into your schedule.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a permit for a kitchen remodel?
If the project changes electrical, plumbing, or structure — as most full remodels do — your city or county requires permits and inspections, which we handle. Purely cosmetic updates, like repainting cabinets, typically do not.
Can I keep my existing layout?
Yes. Keeping plumbing and major appliances where they are avoids rerouting supply lines, drains, and vents — some of the most labor-intensive work in a remodel. New cabinets, countertops, lighting, and finishes can transform the room within its current footprint.
Should I choose quartz, granite, or butcher block?
Each has tradeoffs. Quartz is engineered for consistency and resists stains with little upkeep. Granite is natural stone — every slab unique — and needs periodic sealing. Butcher block brings warmth and can be refinished, but needs regular oiling and dislikes standing water.
Do you handle the electrical and plumbing, or do I hire those trades?
We handle it all — the licensed electrical and plumbing work, inspections, and scheduling — so you deal with one company.
